I’ve got nothing…
For a title that is!
Time just seems to fly by doesn’t it? It is Friday already. Another week gone. Emily is now 3 days shy of 12 weeks old!! I can’t believe it. She is growing like a weed. She has started to really gurggle and coo…it is adorable! She really responds and recognizes faces. I love it when she greets me with a big toothless grin! Priceless.
Nothing much going on this week. I took the kids to Adventure Park again. I got a good shot of the big play area to give you an idea of how cool this place is:
You can climb up the trunk of the tree and there are 6 different slides. If I didn’t have Emily with me I would crawl in there with Austin!
That afternoon we went for a walk as well. It was Emily’s first time taking a walk in her stroller outside. I’ve used it in the mall before but usually when we take a walk around the neighborhood we use the Moby. She seemed pretty indifferent considering she fell asleep!
Austin enjoyed the time outside and he even picked me some flowers:
They were of course, the flowers that my mom had just planted for me for my birthday!
Our bush out our front door is just starting to bloom. It isn’t a lilac bush but it is very similar and even smells like it. It was beautiful last summer. I can’t wait for it to bloom again.
The rest of the week hasn’t brought much excitement. I’ve been trying to clean up and get myself back in the mindset of returning to work next week. I know that I will enjoy being back around other adults during the day, but I’m going to miss my little girl!! Today has been spent doing a ridiculous amount of laundry. I think by the end of the day I will have gone through 5 or 6 loads.
Tomorrow we are all excited because Grandma Pat (Evan’s mom) will be arriving to visit again! Austin has been asking me all week if it is Saturday yet. He can’t wait. It will be fun for Pat to see how much Emily has changed in just two months already. I think sometimes Evan and I miss the small stuff because we see her changing every day.
Pat will be here through Wednesday afternoon and that is when I will be going back to work. I think it will be nice for Evan to have her here for his first full day home with Emily. I know he’ll do great but I think it will be more reassuring than anything just to have someone else there. Plus…it’s nice to have an adult to talk to!
So, with that I will end with a few more pictures. I might be MIA for the next few days or so until after Pat leaves. It always goes so fast so I’d like to try to enjoy it while I can!
Hanging out
Austin is always so cheerful
And he loves his little sister so much!
“Look at me!”
