And another week has flown by…  Before I know it, it will be time for me to return to work.

Well, where did I leave off?  Tuesday night I went to dinner with Jesi.  It was so nice to just get out and see her.  We went to Acapulco.  They have great food.  

Wednesday, I finally changed our cell phone plan over to something that will work a little better for all of us.  After some extensive number crunching by moi, I switched to the new “Fave 5″ plan.  We get more minutes and each of us gets to pick our “Favorite 5″ people who aren’t on the T-Mobile network to get unlimited calling to.  It’s great for us since the majority of all our minutes were being used to call essentially the same people.  The new plan however, required a new phone for Joseph.  His phone was the only one that wasn’t compatible.  Since my birthday was coming up and I’ve been really wanting a new phone, we decided to get ME a new phone and let Joe have my old phone.  So…I’ve had my eye on the Blackberry Pearl for quite a long time and I finally got it!!  I’m very happy about it.  It is much easier to use than I anticipated and I can even access Wi-Fi on it!!

After getting the new phone I headed up to my mom and dad’s to drop off the phone for Joe.  It was a little complicated since I upgraded the phone on HIS line of service (it was the only one eligible for the “best price”) he needed to use the phone for the rebate to be valid.  So I ended up leaving my brand new phone with him to use for a day or two.  I hung out with my mom for a while and then headed home.

Nothing exciting on Thursday.  Then came Friday.  Since Saturday was my birthday but my family would be out of town visiting friends, we took advantage of Joe’s once-a-month babysitting obligation (with the assistance of my mom this time around for Emily) Friday night.  We dropped the kids off at Grandma’s and we were off. 

First stop was to go see a movie of my choice.  I decided on “Made of Honor”.  It was ok.  I wasn’t really expecting any fantastic from a “chick flick”.  The only downside was that there was something wrong with either the movie or the particular screen at that theatre and there was an awful clicking sound during the whole movie.  It got very distracting and made it much less enjoyable.  In the end, we complained along with the 4 other people who were also there and we all received free movie passes!  I think we are planning on seeing the new Indiana Jones with those!!

After the movie it was off to dinner.  I wanted to do something different from our usual Applebee’s so I picked T.G.I. Friday’s.  It was nice.  We even ended up in a half-booth so we were sitting next to each other instead of across.  After dinner it was back up to mom and dad’s to pick up the kids and head home.  It was really nice to get a night out together.  We haven’t done that since Emily was born!!

For my birthday on Saturday I had lunch with two of my good friends I met while riding the bus.  We went to El Azteca (yep…another mexican restaurant!!)  It was great.  We got to sit outside and just catch up on the past two months.  

Memorial Day came and we had Dana, Alisa and Dan (Dana’s friend) over for dinner.  We grilled hotdogs and hamburgers.  It was fun!  We also showed them one of our Nintendo Wii games “Mario Kart”.  It is a really fun game and pretty simple to learn.  

Tuesday was just another lazy day for Austin, Emily and me.  I can’t even remember what we did exactly!!

Wednesday was pretty eventful.  It started off with my mom coming over and planting the flowers she bought me for my birthday!  After she was finished we headed out to go shopping together.  I’ve been meaning to get a new pair of jeans that fit me right and she offered it as my birthday gift!  So we looked around and found a nice pair at Kohl’s.  After we finished I found some great stuff on sale and clearance in the baby section for Emily and couldn’t resist.  It’s a good thing too because she is already starting to wear her 6 month clothing!!  Wow.

After a quick stop home to drop off my purchases and Emily I headed out yet again for dinner with a bunch of my old co-workers from the bank.  This is something that we used to do much more often.  It has dwindled down to just once every few months, sometimes longer even.  It is so fun to see all of them and catch up.  I loved working with all of them and we really did form great friendships!!

There is more to come on the rest of the week but this has gotten WAY too long!!
